HOTEL SOFITEL CHENGDU is situated in the heart of the City Chengdu’s Wu Hou district (武侯區),the city is fast developing into a world class city within China.  Chengdu is the capital city of Sichuan province in south west China. It holds sub-provincial administrative status. Chengdu is one of the most important economic, transportation and communication centers in western China.

The fertile Chengdu plain, on which Chengdu is located is also known as the ”Country of Haven” (天府之國) A phrase also often translated as “The land of Abundance”. The discovery of the Jinsha Site suggests the area of Chengdu had become the center of the bronze age sanxingdui culture around the time of the establishment of the state of Shu, prior to its annexation by Qin in 316 BC.

The design concept of the hotel had been inspired by the theme “Country of Haven” (天府之國) and thus establish the whole series of luxuries elements in the conjecture details for the interiors which include the hotel rooms and public area.
